I am asked this question quite often.
Will the Kinetic Bands work for my 7-12 year old? The answer is yes!
Regardless of their age, body type, weight, or sport or activity they are involved in, resistance bands training is great for core development, strength (without lifting weights), balance, and coordination.
We offer yellow and red resistance bands for those under 110 lbs. which are shorter than our traditional resistance bands, They offer a nice confortable, yet effective, level of resistance to work the Core muscles for smaller athletes.
The leg strap comes at full length which fits most anyone through adult size, but can be cut in length for a comfortable fit depending on the body size. When possible, wrap the strap underneath itself to avoid cutting the strap too short. I you do cut it, you will need to leave at least 3"-4" so the velcro can attach properly to the strap.
With just a few minutes 3-4 times per work of training, or simply wearing the bands and having fun around the house or yard, these young athletes can benefit by training their core muscles from right above the knees to the lower abs.
