The Real Runner is specifically designed to improve starting strength and acceleration. These two sport skills are crucial for sports that involve explosive power. The REAL RUNNER is designed to specifically place and hold the body in a position of acceleration (between 25 and 35 degrees). This angle is the most functional position to train your athletes for strength and power development in the lower body.
Starting Strength can be defined as first two steps of a race or movement activity. Starting ability depends largely on reaction time and explosive strength or power.
Acceleration is the period of time between starting and attaining maximum velocity (top and speed). Acceleration in a race can be described as approximately the first twelve steps. Maximum velocity is maximum speed. This is attained by world class sprinters,usually around 30-40 meters. STRENGTH AND POWER ARE MOST IMPORTANT AT THE START AND ACCELERATION STAGES OF AN ACTIVITY.

UPHOLSTERY
Dura-foam Injected molded urethane pads that have 3/4' plywood back with metal threaded inserts. There are most durable pad type in the industry.

UNIT WEIGHT
235 lbs. Shipped totally assembled with the exception of turning the front handlebar grip frame around. This will only require two 3/4" wrenches. No other tools are needed.
MACHINE SPECIFICS
One set of handle grips to secure the exercise position. Right and left foot pedals that lock each foot in proper alignment and position. Mounted on bearings that allow the foot to pivot and rotate in a natural motion. Machine is set up to accept special rubber feet to protect floors and stabilize the machine from motion or movement on concrete or carpeted surfaces.
HYDRAULICS
